This week, Javier Navarrete (Pan’s Labyrinth, Wrath of the Titans, Greta, The Devil’s Backbone) is recording his orchestral score for the upcoming drama Sound of Freedom. The film is directed by Alejandro Monteverde (Bella, Little Boy) and stars Jim Caviezel, Mira Sorvino, Eduardo Verastegui and Bill Camp. The movie tells the true story of Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard’s effort to rescue kidnapped children. Monteverde also co-wrote the screenplay with Rod Barr and Verastegui is also producing the project. Navarrete is recording his music at Abbey Road Studios in London. Sound of Freedom is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2020.
Navarrete’s other upcoming projects include Scott Cooper’s Antlers, which will be released in 2020 by Fox Searchlight and Mark Amin’s Emperor.
