Michael Abels (Get Out, Us, See You Yesterday) has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy drama Bad Education. The film is directed by Cory Finley (Thoroughbreds) and stars Hugh Jackman, Allison Janney, Rafael Casal, Ray Romano, Geraldine Viswanathan and Alex Wolff. The movie follows a superintendent of the school district who works for the betterment of the student’s education while embezzling public funds to live the life he wants. Mike Makowsky (I Think We’re Alone Now) wrote the screenplay. Fred Berger (La La Land, Destroyer) and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister, Midnight Special) are producing the project for Automatik, alongside Eddie Vaisman (In a World…), Julia Lebedev (Dear White People) and Oren Moverman (The Messenger, Rampart) for Sight Unseen. Bad Education is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere at one of the major film festivals later this year.
