Daniel Wohl is currently composing the original score for the upcoming Showtime docu-series Shangri-La. The show is directed by Academy Award winner Morgan Neville (Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, 20 Feet for Stardom) (episodes 1 & 2) and Jeff Malmberg (Marwencol) (episodes 3 & 4) and focusses on creative conversation and the emotional side of music-making, using legendary music producer and Def Jam Records co-founder Rick Rubin’s iconic Malibu, CA studio as the backdrop. Neville, Rubin and Malmberg are also executive producing the project with Danny Breen, Michael Goldberg, Isaac Heymann, Eric Lynn, Diana Schmedeman and Jason Schrift. Shangri-La is set to premiere on July 12, 2019 on Showtime. Visit the official show website for updates.

As previously reported, Wohl (Project Blue Book, They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead) also has the comedy feature The Stand-In starring Drew Barrymore coming up.
