Germaine Franco (Dope, Tag) has composed the original score for the new Netflix original movie Someone Great. The film is written and directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Sweet/Vicious) and stars Gina Rodriguez, Brittany Snow, Lakeith Stanfield, DeWanda Wise and Rosario Dawson. The romantic comedy follows a woman who experiences a devastating break-up and seeks adventure in NYC with her two best friends before moving across the country for her dream job. Rodriguez is also producing the project with Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters) & Jessie Henderson (A Simple Favor, Spy) for Feigco, as well as Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Foxcatcher) & Peter Cron (Every Day) for Likely Story. Someone Great will premiere this Friday, April 19, 2019 on Netflix.
Franco has also recently scored the comedy Little, which is currently playing in theaters and also has the second season of Starz’s Vida and the family adventure Dora and the Lost City of Gold (co-scored with John Debney) coming up.
