Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon have been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi comedy Men in Black: International. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job) and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall, Laurent Bourgeois, Larry Bourgeois, Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson. The movie follows the title characters as they tackle their biggest, most global threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization. Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man) wrote the screenplay. Walter F. Parkes (Minority Report) and Laurie MacDonald (The Ring) are producing the Amblin Entertainment production. Elfman has previously the first three parts in the Men in Black series directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. Bacon (Source Code, Gnomeo & Juliet, Bates Motel) has previously contributed additional music to several of Elfman’s scores, including Avengers: Age of Ultron, Alice Through the Looking Glass and Goosebumps and also co-scored the ABC mini-series When We Rise with the composer. Men in Black: International will be released on June 14, 2019 by Sony Pictures. Visit the official movie website for updates.

Elfman’s other upcoming projects include Stephen Gaghan’s The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle (set to come out on January 17, 2020). He also recently scored Tim Burton’s Dumbo, which will be released later this month. Bacon also continues to score Amazon’s The Tick, which will return for its second season on April 5.
