Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie The Boy Harnessed the Wind. The album features the film’s original music composed by Antonio Pinto (City of God, McFarland, USALord of WarAmy, Self/less), as well as the end credits song Lelo Ndakwanitsa written & performed by the composer and Lily Banda. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 8 and will be available to download here. The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind marks the feature directorial debut of Chiwetel Ejiofor who also stars in the drama with Maxwell Simba, Aïssa Maïga, Lily Banda, Lemogang Tsipa, Philbert Falakeza, Joseph Marcell and Noma Dumezweni. The movie is inspired by a true story and follows a 13-year-old boy who – inspired by a science book – builds a wind turbine to save his Malawian village from famine. The drama opened in select theaters last week and is now also available to stream on Netflix.
