Atli Orvarsson is reteaming with director Grímur Hákonarson on the upcoming Icelandic comedy drama The County. The film is written and directed by Hákonarson and stars Arndis Hronn Egilsdottir and Sigurdur Sigurjonsson. The movie centers on a middle-aged dairy farmer who decides to start a new life on her own terms after her husband dies and rises up against corruption and injustice in her community. Grimar Jonsson (Under the Tree) is producing the project. Orvarsson has previously collaborated with the director on the 2016 feature Rams. The County will premiere later this year.

Orvarsson (The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point) has also recently scored the Jacob’s Ladder reboot (set to be released in theaters nationwide on February 1). The composer also continues to score CBS’ FBI and NBC’s Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.
