Deutsche Grammophon has released the main theme for the HBO and RAI original series My Brilliant Friend. The track, entitled Elena & Lila, is written by Max Richter (The Leftovers, Mary, Queen of Scots, Waltz with Bashir, Hostiles, White Boy Rick, Miss Sloane). The theme is now available as a digital single on Amazon. My Brilliant Friend is co-written and directed by Saverio Costanzo and stars Elisa Del Genio, Ludovica Nasti, Margherita Mazzucco and Gaia Girace. The drama based on Elena Ferrante’s bestselling book of the same name tells the story of a now-elderly woman who discovers the most important friend in her life seems to have disappeared without a trace. The series premiered in the U.S. earlier this month and currently airs Sunday/Monday nights on HBO. Visit the official show website for more information.
