Eric Serra is currently scoring the upcoming action thriller Anna. The film is directed by Luc Besson and stars Sasha Luss in the title role, alongside Helen Mirren, Luke Evans and Cillian Murphy. No plot details have been revealed yet. Besson is also producing the EuropaCorp production. Serra has previously scored most of Besson’s directorial efforts, including Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element, La Femme Nikita, The Big Blue and Lucy. The director’s last feature, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, was scored by Alexandre Desplat. Anna is expected to be released in 2019 by Lionsgate.
Serra’s other recent projects also include Steven Quale’s Renegades (co-written and produced by Besson), which has been released in several international territories and is currently awaiting a domestic release.
