Columbia Records will release the official soundtrack album for Bo Burnham’s comedy drama Eighth Grade. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anna Meredith who made her film scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released on July 13, 2018 and will be available for pre-order on Amazon within the next few days. Eighth Grade is written and directed by Burnham and stars Elsie Fisher, Josh Hamilton, Emily Robinson and Jake Ryan. The movie follows a 13-year-old girl as she endures the tidal wave of contemporary suburban adolescence as she makes her way through the last week of middle school before she begins high school. 1. Allison Lopez says:

There was a song in the movie that isn’t on here. It was a woman singing, maybe a group of women. Sounded soulful and old, and maybe played at a time when Kayla was sinking to the floor? What song was it? There was other music in the movie not by Anna Meredith, right? How can I find out? Thanks you!!!!

    • Chris says:

There is definitely music in the movie that is not on the soundtrack. I’m guessing you’re thinking of Orinoco Flow by Enya? I would also like to know what song it is when Kayla sees her crush? That song is great.

      • Josiah says:

Me too! I can’t for the life of me find it!

        • Jay says:

Same– looking for the song played the first few times Kayla sees Aiden… I’m surprised it’s not on the soundtrack since I thought it was part of the score (vs an existing song) ?

          • Josh says:

That song was Future Club by Perturbator

That’s song would be “Future Club” by Perturbator. Be careful looking it up as the album art is NSFW

    • Lucas says:

Messed up my reply. The song is “Future Club” by Pertubator. Be careful looking it up as the album art is NSFW

    • Lucas says:

It is an existing song called “Future Club” by Pertubator. Be careful looking it up as the album art is NSFW
