Alexander Bornstein has been tapped to score the upcoming documentary First to the Moon. The film is directed by Paul J. Hildebrandt (Fight for Space) and tells the story of the Apollo 8 mission and the three men that crewed it. The movie features extensive, all new interview footage with Commander Frank Borman, Lunar Module Pilot Bill Anders and Command Module Pilot Jim Lovell and will contain restored footage from NASA, the national archives, and the astronauts themselves. Hildebrandt is also producing the project with Jon Martin. First to the Moon is set to be released this December in celebration of the mission’s 50th Anniversary. Bornstein who recently contributed additional music for Christopher Lennertz’s score for Netflix’s Lost in Space will also score the upcoming indie drama Foreign Exchange. The film is directed by Svetlana Cvetko and stars Teri Polo, Dylan Walsh and Danika Yarosh. The movie revolves around two grieving parents who lost their daughter in a car accident and welcome a foreign exchange student into their home. Chris Sivertson (I Know Who Killed Me) wrote the screenplay. Kaila York, Nigel Thomas and Rick Benattar (Ironclad) are producing the MarVista Entertainment production. The composer has previously scored numerous features for the producers, including Paradox, Black Site Delta and The Last Heist. No word yet on a release date for Foreign Exchange.
