Geoff Zanelli is set to reteam with David Koepp on the upcoming horror thriller You Should Have Left. The film is written and directed by Koepp (Stir of Echoes, screenwriter of Jurassic Park & Spider-Man) and stars Kevin Bacon. The movie is based on Daniel Kehlmann’s 2007 novel of the same title and follows screenwriter who is working on a sequel to his hit film in a remote house in the Alps and begins to lose his bearings thanks to unexplained occurrences. Jason Blum (Get Out, Insidious, The Purge, Paranormal Activity) is producing the project through his Blumhouse production company. Zanelli has previously collaborated with Koepp on the features Secret Window, Ghost Town and Mortdecai. You Should Have Left is set to shoot later this year. A release in 2019 is expected.
Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Into the West) also has the thriller The Intruder (previously entitled Motivated Seller) starring Michael Ealy & Dennis Quaid and the animated feature Red Shoes & the 7 Dwarfs coming up.
