Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for Wim Wenders’ documentary Pope Francis: A Man of His Word. The album features the film’s original music composed by Laurent Petitgand who has previously scored the director’s 1993 feature Faraway, So Close!, 1995’s Beyond the Clouds and 2014’s The Salt of the Earth. Also included is the song These Are the Words by Patti Smith. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 18 and will be available to download on Amazon. Pope Francis: A Man of His Word sets out to present Pope Francis’ work of reform and his answers to today’s global questions, from his deep concern for the poor and wealth inequality, to his involvement in environmental issues and social justice. The documentary is being released in over 300 U.S. theaters by Focus Features. Visit the official movie website for more information.
