Hollywood Bowl 2018 Season Schedule Announced

hollywood-bowlThe Hollywood Bowl has announced this summer’s season schedule, which includes a number of film music concerts. On July 5, the Bowl will host a live to projection concert for Patrick Doyle’s score for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Justin Freer will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Click here for more information. On July 20, David Newman will conduct the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra for a live-to-projection concert of John Williams‘ music for Jaws (click here for more details).Newman will also conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic for live-to-picture concerts of Williams’ scores for Star Wars: A New Hope on August 7 & 10, as well as The Empire Strikes Back on August 9 & 11. On August 8, Thomas Wilkins will conduct the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra for a performance of Henry Mancini‘s score for The Pink Panther. John Williams himself will return to the Bowl on August 31 and September 1 & 2 for the concert John Williams: Maestro of the Bowl – 40th Anniversary Celebration.
