Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide:

Expected to top the weekend box office is the drama Fifty Shades Freed directed by James Foley and starring Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Arielle Kebbel, Kim Basinger, Brant Daugherty and Luke Grimes. Republic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by Liam Hayes & Rita Ora, Hailee Steinfeld x BloodPop, Miike Snow & more. Click here for the full details. Also opening wide is the family comedy Peter Rabbit created by Will Gluck and starring James Corden, Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, Sam Neill, Daisy Ridley, Elizabeth Debicki and Margot Robbie. Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High CastleMoney MonsterFree BirdsDuckTales) has composed the film’s original score. Columbia Records has released a single featuring a score suite, as well as the song I Promise You written by Ezra Koenig & Gluck and performed by Corden. Also opening nationwide is the drama The 15:17 to Paris directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, Spencer Stone, Jenna Fischer, Judy Greer, Ray Corasani, PJ Byrne, Tony Hale, Thomas Lennon, Paul-Mikél Williams and Bryce Gheisar. The film’s original music is composed by Christian Jacob who previously scored the director’s last feature, Sully. No word yet on a soundtrack album. Opening in limited release is the indie comedy The Female Brain co-written and directed by Whitney Cummings who also stars in the movie with Sofia Vergara, Cecily Strong, Toby Kebbell, James Marsden, Deon Cole, Blake Griffin and Lucy Punch. Jeff Cardoni (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, CSI: Miami, Young Sheldon, Silicon Valley) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced. The comedy, which is based on a book of the same name by neuropsychiatrist Louann Brizendine, is being released in theaters and on VOD by IFC Films. Also opening in select theaters is the romantic comedy Basmati Blues directed by Danny Baron and starring Brie Larson, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Scott Bakula, Saahil Sehgal, Tyne Daly and Donald Sutherland. The film’s original score is composed by Steven Argila (The Paul Reiser ShowTheres…Johnny!Monster High). A soundtrack album featuring the  original songs from the movie written by Pearl Jam, Sugarland, Siddhartha Khosla (of Goldspot), Dave Baerwald, Sonu Nigam, Argila & others and performed by the cast members was released today. Also opening in limited release is the comedy drama Permission written and directed by Brian Crano and starring Rebecca Hall, Dan Stevens, Gina Gershon, Jason Sudeikis and Francois Arnaud. Thomas Bartlett and Joan As Police Woman have composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows a woman on the brink of a marriage proposal who is told by a friend that she should date other men before spending the rest of her life with her boyfriend, is being released by Good Deed Entertainment.

Also opening in select theaters is the animated feature Monster Family directed by Holger Tappe and featuring the voices of Emily Watson, Jason Isaacs, Nick Frost, Jessica Brown Findlay, Celia Imrie and Catherine Tate. The film’s original music is composed by Hendrik Schwarzer. Mack Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last summer when it was released overseas under the title Happy Family. Opening this weekend in New York before expanding to more markets over the next couple of weeks is the indie drama Golden Exits written and directed by Alex Ross Perry and starring Emily Browning, Adam Horovitz, Mary-Louise Parker, Lily Rabe, Jason Schwartzman and Chloë Sevigny. Keegan DeWitt (I’ll See You in My Dreams, Divorce, The Hero, Morris From America) has composed the film’s original music. The drama, which centers on two Brooklyn families whose lives are interrupted by the arrival of a young foreign girl, premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being released by Vertical Entertainment.
