The full details of the soundtrack album for Alex Garland’s sci-fi thriller Annihilation have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow (Free Fire) who previously scored the director’s 2015 feature Ex Machina. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 23, 2018 by Lakeshore Records in the U.S. and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl version is also in the works. Annihilation is written and directed by Garland and stars Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodgriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac. The movie is based on Jeff VanderMeer’s best-selling Southern Reach Trilogy and follows a biologist who embarks on a four-person expedition into a territory cut off from civilization while searching for clues about her husband’s disappearance.
