This week, Rolfe Kent will be recording his score for the upcoming biographical drama Stan & Ollie. The film is directed by Jon S. Baird (Filth) and stars Steve Coogan as Stan Laurel and John C. Reilly as Oliver Hardy. Shirley Henderson and Danny Huston are co-starring. The movie focuses on the now-legendary 1953 tour which the the ageing comedy duo embarked on in the twilight years of their fame. Jeff Pope (Philomena, Mrs. Biggs) wrote the screenplay. Faye Ward (Suffragette, Tulip Fever) is producing the BBC Films and Fable Pictures production. The composer whose previous credits include Sideways, Wedding Crashers, Election, Up in the Air and Mean Girls will be recording his music at AIR Studios in London. Stan & Ollie is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year.

Kent’s other recent projects include Alexander Payne’s Downsizing, which is now playing in theaters and Disney’s Magic Camp, which is expected to be released later this year.
