Johnny Klimek has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Breaking In. The film is directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin, The Raven) and stars Gabrielle Union, Christa Miller, Ajiona Alexus and Billy Burke. The movie follows a woman who, after the sudden death of her father, takes her two kids to her father’s Malibu mansion to settle his estate, when four villains intent on finding the deceased’s safe and making off with its contents enter the premise. Ryan Engle (Non-Stop, The Commuter) wrote the screenplay. Will Packer (Ride Along, Girls Trip, Think Like a Man) is producing the project with James Lopez, Craig Perry (Final Destination, American Pie) and Sheila Taylor. Klimek (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, The International, One Hour Photo) has previously co-scored multiple episodes of Netflix’s Sense8 directed by McTeigue. Breaking In is currently in post-production and is expected to be released later this year.

Klimek has also recently scored the first seasons of the German television series Babylon Berlin, which will premiere later this month in the U.S. on Netflix, as well as the German comedy drama Dieses bescheuerte Herz, which just opened in theaters overseas.
