Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) has been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi action movie Alita: Battle Angel. The film is directed by Robert Rodriguez (From Dusk Till Dawn, Spy Kids, Once Upon a Time in Mexico) and stars Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley and Keean Johnson. The movie is based on the graphic novel series Gunnm by Yukito Kishiro and follows a young woman who sets out on a journey that will lead her to take on the injustices of this dark, corrupt world. James Cameron (Titanic, Avatar) co-wrote the screenplay with Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island, Terminator Genisys) and Rodriguez. He is also producing the project with Jon Landau.
