Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1999 supernatural horror movie The Haunting directed by Jan de Bont and starring Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Owen Wilson and Lili Taylor. The album features the expanded original score from the DreamWorks Pictures production composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Chinatown, Patton, Planet of the Apes), including over half an hour previously unreleased music. The label has also announced a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1990 comedy Almost an Angel directed by John Cornell and starring Paul Hogan, Elias Koteas and Linda Kozlowski. The album features expanded score from the Paramount Pictures release composed and conducted by Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Ghost, Doctor Zhivago, Dead Poets Society).
