Daniel Pemberton is composing the music for Aaron Sorkin’s directorial debut Molly’s Game. The film is written and directed by Sorkin and stars Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, Michael Cera, Brian d’Arcy James, Chris O’Dowd, Bill Camp, Graham Greene, Claire Rankin, Joe Keery and Jeremy Strong. The movie is based on Molly Bloom’s memoir and tells the story of the Olympic-class skier who, following an injury, ran the world’s most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons. Mark Gordon (Saving Private Ryan, Speed) is producing the project with Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: Homecoming). Pemberton has previously scored the Sorkin-scripted and Gordon-produced 2015 feature Steve Jobs. Molly’s Game will be released on November 22, 2017 by STX Entertainment.

As previously reported, Pemberton has also scored the thriller Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House, which will be released on September 29, 2017 by Sony Pictures Classics.
