Bruno Coulais has recently recorded his score for the upcoming French psychological thriller Eva. The film is directed by Benoit Jacquot and stars Isabelle Huppert and Gaspard Ulliel. The movie is based on James Hadley Chase’s novel of the same name and centers on a playwright who encounters a mysterious woman when he takes shelter in a chalet during a violent snowstorm. Jacquot also co-wrote the screenplay with Gilles Tauran (Thieves) for the EuropaCorp, Macassar and Arte France Cinema production. Coulais and Jacquot have previously collaborated on such movies as Farewell, My Queen, Diary of a Chambermaid and 3 Hearts. Eva is expected to premiere later this year.

Coulais (Coraline, The Crimson Rivers, Winged Migration) also has the French animated movie Drôles de petites bêtes and Rachid Hami’s drama La mélodie coming up. Both movies are set to be released in France later this year.
