silenceParamount Pictures has revealed the music credits for Martin Scorsese’s historical drama Silence today. Kim Allen Kluge and Kathryne Kluge have composed the film’s original score. Robbie Robertson serves as the movie’s executive music producer. He previously had the same role on several of the director’s features, including The Wolf of Wall StreetGangs of New York and King of Comedy. Music supervisors are Randall Poster (The Grand Budapest HotelThe Hangover) who previously worked on Scorsese’s The Aviator, HugoThe Wolf of Wall Street and Boardwalk Empire and John Schaefer. Silence starring Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver, Tadanobu Asano, Ciarán Hinds and Liam Neeson is set in the 17th century and centers on two Jesuit priests who face violence and persecution when they travel to Japan to locate their mentor and propagate Christianity. Scorsese also co-wrote the screenplay with Jay Cocks (The Age of InnocenceGangs of New York) and is producing the project with Irwin Winkler (Goodfellas, Rocky), Barbara De Fina (Casino, Cape Fear), Randall Emmett (Lone Survivor, 2 Guns), Vittorio Cecchi Gori (Il Postino: The Postman), Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Wolf of Wall Street) and Gaston Pavlovich.
