fantastic-beastsIn addition to revealing his involvement in several new projectsJames Newton Howard also confirmed at a press tour for his upcoming concert series in Europe and at the London premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that he will return to score the film’s sequel. David Yates (Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsThe Legend of Tarzan) who helmed the first part, which will be released this weekend, will also return to direct the movie. Also confirmed to return are actors Eddie Redmayne and Ezra Miller. Johnny Depp who makes a cameo appearance in the first installment has also joined the project. J.K. Rowling is wring the sequel’s script and David Heyman (Harry Potter series, Gravity) is producing the film, which is set to be released on November 16, 2018 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Howard’s soundtrack for the first Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie is now available on WaterTower Music.

    Yes!!! The score for Fantastic Beasts was an amazing experience! Beautiful melodies, epic action and many tributes to John Williams’ iconic Harry Potter score!

      Nice to hear! I’ll see the movie tomorrow night, I really hope the score is good (and not too resemblant to Harry Potter’s…) so, I’m glad his music is enjoyable 😀
