Trevor Morris is the new composer of the Freeform original series Shadowhunters. The show is based on the book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare and stars Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Emeraude Toubia, Matthew Daddario, Isaiah Mustafa, David Castro and Harry Shum Jr. Morris is scoring the drama’s second season and follows Ben Decter who composed the music for the first season, which premiered earlier this year. Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer (Smallville, Defiance, Dominion) have joined the show as new showrunners/executive producers. Matt Hastings (The Outer Limits) is also on board of the Constantin Film production as an executive producer. Season 2 of Shadowhunters will premiere on January 2, 2017 on Freeform. Morris also has NBC’s Taken TV series, as well as the fantasy drama Emerald City coming up. He also continues to score History’s Vikings and The CW’s Reign. His upcoming feature projects include the comedy Goon: Last of the Enforcers.
