The Vessel is written and directed by Julio Quintana and stars Martin Sheen as a Catholic priest in a small Latin American town where a tidal wave destroys a local school packed with children. The movie executive produced by Terrence Malick (The Thin Red Line, The Tree of Life) takes place ten years after the event and follows a young man who builds a mysterious structure out of the school’s remains, setting the town aflame with passions long forgotten.
