Needlewood Records will release a soundtrack album for the German documentary Deutschland. Made in Germany (Deutschland. Dein Selbstporträt). The album features the film’s original music composed by Hauschka (Volker Bertelmann) (Lion, The Boy, In Dubious Battle), as well as the original song Another Day in Life by Hauschka & Graham Candy. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 15, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Deutschland. Made in Germany is directed by Sönke Wortmann (The Miracle of Bern, Pope Joan) who invited the people of Germany to film themselves on June 20 of last year, for anything ranging from just a few seconds to the entire day. The movie will be released in Germany this Thursday, July 14. No word yet on domestic distribution.
