  1. Roger says:

    should have been Hans Zimmer

  2. alexander says:

Brian should really do a collaboration with HZ they both will kill it…..nevertheless good choice but i am really weird if he will be attached to Furious 8 because timeline is near or if joseph trapanese will be attached because they did Straight outta compton together!!!!
It will be a shame to see him be replaced like furious 6 and we got no official score release
HZ would have nailed it the mummy

  3. SDH says:

I’d love for John Powell to take a gig like this one at some point. I’m sure he’d knock it out of the park.

    • Ds says:

Holy shit you’re right, John Powell would have been an absolutely perfect choice!

One decade ago, this project would have been an obvious assignment for HZ, but not anymore, really. His projects choices have changed as of late.

  4. I’m really excited for Brian Tyler and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with in regards to “The Mummy.” I have a feeling it’ll be a cross between some of his work he did on AvP: Requiem, Constantine, and maybe even TMNT. But in any direction he goes, it’ll be good. It’s also really kind of fun to consider the Jerry Goldsmith connections he shares. And, if you ask me, the late and great Mr. Jerry Goldsmith’s score for 1999’s “The Mummy” is one of the best music soundtracks around.

  5. Chris says:

Thank god it’s not Henry Jackman xD

  6. Bernd-Helmut Heine says:

Well, Iยดm not very enthusiastic about about that movie (Why not continuing the “old” franchise? It still had lots of potential…), but at least I can live with this decision. Not the worst choice IMHO.

  7. For somebody who has an unbelievable amount for the original score and for Jerry Goldsmith, this is probably the most incredible decision this movie could have made
