John Frizzell has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel Leatherface. The film is directed by Alexandre Bustillo & Julien Maury (Inside) and stars Stephen Dorff, Lili Taylor, Sam Strike and Vanessa Grasse. The movie centers on a teenage Leatherface as he escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnaps a young nurse and takes her on a road trip from hell. Seth M. Sherwood has written the screenplay. Christa Campbell & Lati Grobman (CriminalRighteous Kill), Carl Mazzocone and Les Weldon (The Expendables, London Has Fallen) are producing the Millennium Films production. Frizzell has previously scored Millennium’s Texas Chainsaw 3D, which was released in 2013. No release date for Leatherface has been announced yet.

Frizzell also has composed the music for the upcoming thriller When the Bough Breaks. The film is directed by Jon Cassar (24) and stars Morris Chestnut, Regina Hall, Romany Malco, Michael K. Williams, Theo Rossi and Jaz Sinclair. The movie follows a professional couple that is unable to conceive a child and decides to hire a young blue collar woman as a surrogate, before she develops a psychotic fixation on the husband.  Jack Olsen wrote the screenplay and  Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne are producing the Screen Gems production. The thriller will be released nationwide on September 16, 2016 by Sony Pictures. Visit the official movie website for more information.
