The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-nominated composer John Debney (The Passion of the ChristElfIron Man 2Hocus PocusThe Emperor’s New Groove). Also included are the songs from the film, including new versions of Richard & Robert Sherman’s Bare Necessities, Trust In Me and I Wanna Be Like You from Disney’s animated classic performed by Dr. John And The Nite Trippers and the movie’s cast. The soundtrack will be released on April 15, 2016 by Walt Disney Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Jungle Book is directed by Jon Favreau and stars Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyongo’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito, Neel Sethi and Christopher Walken. The movie follows Mowgli, a man-cub raised in the jungle by a family of wolves, who embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery when he’s forced to abandon the only home he’s ever known.
