stuart-earlStuart Earl has been hired to score the upcoming BBC mini-series The Secret Agent. The drama is directed by Charles McDougall (Hillsborough, Desperate Housewives, The Good Wife) and stars Toby Jones, Vicky McClure, Stephen Graham, Ian Hart, Tom Goodman-Hill and David Dawson. The 3-parter is based on the book by Joseph Conrad and follows a Soho shopkeeper who doubles as a secret agent for the Russian government. Tony Marchant (The Mark of CainGarrow’s Law) has adapted the material for the small screen. Simon Heath (The Great Train Robbery, United) and Polly Hill are executive producing the project. The Secret Agent will premiere later this year on BBC.

Earl’s recent project also include the British mini-series And Then There Were None. The 3-parter is based on the novel of the same title by Agatha Christie and stars Douglas Booth, Charles Dance, Anna Maxwell Martin, Sam Neill, Miranda Richardson, Toby Stephens, Maeve Dermody, Burn Gorman, Noah Taylor and Aidan Turner. The mystery drama developed by Sarah Phelps is set in 1939 England and follows ten strangers with dubious pasts who are lured to Soldier Island, an isolated rock near southern England’s Devon coast.
