aaron-zigmanAaron Zigman is set to reteam with director Robin Swicord on the upcoming drama Wakefield. The film is written and directed by Swicord (screenwriter of Memoirs of a Geisha & Little Women) and stars Bryan Cranston and Jennifer Garner. The movie is based a short story of the same name by E.L. Doctorow and follows a Manhattan lawyer who unexpectedly leaves his wife and winds up staying in his attic for several months due to a nervous breakdown. Bonnie Curtis (Saving Private Ryan, Minority Report) and Julie Lynn (Albert Nobbs, Passengers, Mother and Child) are producing the project for their Mockingbird Pictures company, alongside Broadway producers Wendy Federman and Carl Moellenberg. Zigman has previously scored Swicord’s feature directorial debut The Jane Austen Book Club. Wakefield is expected to premiere in late 2016.

Zigman also has the Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light starring Tom Hiddleston coming up. The drama premiered at this year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released on March 25, 2016 by Sony Pictures Classics. He also scored the action comedy Mr. Right starring Anna Kendrick & Sam Rockwell, which also premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and was picked up by for a domestic release in 2016.
