The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Hitch, Anna and the King). Also included are the classical pieces featured in the movie by Frederic Chopin and Franz Schubert. The soundtrack will be released overseas on November 6, 2015 and in the U.S. on December 11. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. The Lady in the Van is directed by Nicholas Hytner and stars Maggie Smith, Dominic Cooper, James Corden and Jim Broadbent. The movie follows a man who befriends a transient woman living in her car who parks in his driveway. The drama will be released in the UK this November and in the U.S. on December 4, 2015 by Sony Pictures Classics for for an awards qualifying run before getting a limited release on January 15, 2016.   1. Quite a lot of the background music sounded like a George Fenton had cribbed Shostkovitch’s ‘Waltz Suite No.2 from the Jazz Suite. Can anyone confirm this?

      Yes its definitely the Jazz Suite but didn’t see it in the credits
