Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans have been tapped to score the upcoming thriller The Gift. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Joel Edgerton who also stars in the movie alongside Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall The movie follows a couple who seek to reinvigorate their relationship with a fresh beginning in a new town, only to be have their life disrupted by an acquaintance from the husband’s past. Edgerton also wrote the screenplay. Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, Insidious, The Purge) is producing the film through his Blumhouse production company with Rebecca Yeldman (The Kite Runner, On the Run). The Gift will be released on July 31, 2015 by STX Entertainment.
As previously reported, Bensi & Jurriaans also have the indie drama The Ticket starring Dan Stevens coming up.
