daniel-pembertonThe first teaser trailer for the upcoming biographical drama Steve Jobs reveals that Daniel Pemberton has been tapped to score the movie. The film is directed by Danny Boyle and stars Michael Fassbender in the title role, Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh, Seth Rogen as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley. Katherine Waterston, Michael Stuhlbarg, Perla Haney-Jardine, Ripley Sobo, Sarah Snook and Adam Shapiro are co-starring. Aaron Sorkin (The Social NetworkThe West WingThe NewsroomA Few Good Men) wrote the screenplay based on Walter Isaacson’s best-selling biography of the Apple founder. Boyle is also producing the project with Mark Gordon (Saving Private Ryan, Grey’s Anatomy, The Patriot), Guymon Casady (Hope Springs), Scott Rudin (No Country for Old MenThe Grand Budapest Hotel, Captain Phillips) and Christian Colson (SelmaThe Descent). Boyle has previously collaborated with such composers as A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire127 Hours), John Murphy (Sunshine28 Days Later…), Rick Smith (Trance) and David Arnold (A Life Less Ordinary). Steve Jobs will be released on October 9, 2015 by Universal Pictures.
