The album features the film’s original score composed by David Hirschfelder (ElizabethAustraliaThe Railway Man), as well as additional music by Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, Samba), Lisa Gerrard (Gladiator, Whale Rider) and Richard Tognetti. The soundtrack is now available to download overseas. Click here to listen to audio clips and check back on this page for the domestic release date. The Water Diviner marks the directorial debut of Russell Crowe who also stars in the film alongside Olga Kurylenko, Yilmaz Erdogan, Cem Yilmaz, Jai Courtney, Ryan Corr, James Fraser, Ben O’Toole and Isabel Lucas. The movie takes place four years after Turkey’s Battle of Gallipoli during the first World War and follows an Australian farmer who travels to Istanbul to discover the fate of his sons who are reported missing in action.
