ladyhawkeLa-La Land Records has released a new soundtrack album for the 1985 fantasy romance Ladyhawke directed by Richard Donner starring Matthew Broderick, Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfeiffer. The album features the remastered and expanded original score from the film composed by Andrew Powell (Rocking Gibraltar), including previously unreleased music and bonus tracks. The soundtrack for the Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox production is limited to 3000 copies. To order the 2-CD set and to check out the full album details, visit the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio clips.

  1. Peter says:

The original pop soundtrack is somewhat universally considered a misfire. Those who love the film have been requesting for decades that the copyright holders remaster the film with a totally new more appropriate non-pop soundtrack that doesn’t alienate people from the film’s otherwise massive appeal.

  2. Rick says:

The music in the movie is fine just as it is. I am tired of hearing people put it down online. Yes, it is different from many soundtracks, but that is part of the movies appeal. I have purchased and love the 2CD expanded release of the soundtrack. I hope they never change the soundtrack, and release a better print of the film on DVD.
