grammysAlexandre Desplat has won the Grammy Award for his music for Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category. He previously won a Grammy for his score for Tom Hooper’s The King’s Speech. The other nominated composers in the category included Christophe Beck (Frozen), Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (Gone Girl), Steven Price (Gravity) and Thomas Newman (Saving Mr. Banks). In the Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez won the award for the song Frozen from Disney’s hit feature Frozen. In the Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Visual Media category, the soundtrack album for Frozen, which features the film’s songs and the score composed by Christophe Beck, released by Walt Disney Records was honored with a Grammy award. In addition, John Williams received his 22nd Grammy Award for the track The Boof Thief from the movie of the same title in the Best Instrumental Composition category. Click here for the full list of Grammy winners.
