The Illuminated Film Company will release a soundtrack album for the animated short On Angel Wings. The album features the film’s original music composed by Julian Nott (Wallace & Gromit shorts & feature). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 8, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. On Angel Wings is written and directed by Dave Unwin (Father Christmas), executive produced by Iain Harvey (The Snowman) and features the voices of Sir Michael Gambon, Dominic Cooper and Juliet Stevenson. The short is based on a book by Michael Morpurgo (War Horse) and tells the story of a young shepherd and how he came to be the first visitor to the new born Christ child – ahead of the other shepherds, and in complete secret. The film will premiere in the UK on December 24, 2014 on BBC.

SO happy to see his name again. He does such great work and frankly, I was a bit disappointed to not see him on the announcement for the Aardman film earlier this week (no disrespect meant to Ilan, who is a fine composer).
