angry-video-game-nerdSparks & Shadows has released a soundtrack album for the indie comedy Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie. The album features the film’s original music written by Emmy Award-winning composer Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, DaVinci’s Demons, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), as well as two remixes and two original songs by Young Beautiful in a Hurry written by the band’s Brendan McCreary. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie directed by James Rolfe & Kevin Finn is based on the web series of the same title. The Kickstarter-funded film centers around the mass burial of over 1 million copies of the proclaimed “worst video game of all time”, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial for the Atari 2600. The movie premieres today on VOD. A Blu-ray and DVD release is planned for later this year.

Bear McCreary is a really talented composer, he could be working on a summer super-hero blockbuster… But, instead, he is doing shitty movies like this. I really don’t understand this.

I agree that you really don’t understand.

    • Jacob says:

The more galling thing is that this can get a score release, yet his work on The Walking Dead is nowhere to be seen.
