A soundtrack album for the Australian drama Healing has been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner David Hirschfelder (Elizabeth, Shine, The Railway Man, Legend of the Guardians). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 7, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips below. Healing is directed by Craig Monahan and stars Hugo Weaving, Xavier Samuel, Don Hany, Xavier Samuel, Anthony Hayes, Jane Menelaus, Mark Leonard Winter, Robert Taylor and Justine Clarke. The movie chronicles a prison inmate’s last 18 months before release after serving a 16-year term as he is sent to a prison farm, where a senior officer has established a unique program to rehabilitate broken men. The drama was released in Australia earlier this month. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
