sundanceTwitter and Southwest Air present the Collective ConversationsSound & Vision – a panel discussion on music in film, and how the recording artist transitions into film composer at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. The panel will be moderated by actor William H. Macy who made his directorial debut with the drama Rudderless, which is set to premiere at the festival. The event’s panelists include Mike Patton who is known as the lead singer of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle and whose film scoring credits include The Place Beyond the Pines and Crank: High Voltage. Also participating are Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, who recently received a Golden Globe nomination for his film scoring debut with J.C. Chandor’s All is Lost; electronic music artist BT whose film scoring credits include The Fast and the Furious, Monster, Driven and G;, Shudder to Think member Craig Wedren who scored such films as Role Models, Wet Hot American Summer and The School of Rock and whose latest scoring gig, They Came Together will premiere at Sundance, as well as Mica Levi best known for her band Micachu & The Shapes who scored Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin, which will be released in theaters this spring. The panel also includes agent and Head of Music for Visual Media at WME, Amos Newman, electronic music producer Nate Mars and Grammy-nominated electronic music producer Carmen Rizzo. The event will take place on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 12PM – 1PM at the Collective at 738 Main St. Park City, UT.
