The album features the film’s original music composed by Jon Hopkins (Monsters) Also included is Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra’s Do It With a Rockstar and a remix of Daughter’s Home by Hopkins. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 7, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. How I Live Now is directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, State of Play) and stars Saoirse Ronan, Tom Holland, Anna Chancellor, George McKay and Corey Johnson. The film follows a teenage girl from New York City who travels to England to spend the summer with family in the English countryside and must survive in the woods when World War III breaks out and insurgents invade. The movie premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in theaters and on VOD on November 8, 2013 by Magnolia Pictures.
