biblePremiering tonight is the mini-series The Bible created and executive produced by Mark Burnett & Roma Downey who also stars in the show alongside Diogo Morgado, Sean Teale, David Rintoul, Amber Rose Revah, Peter Guinness, Greg Hicks and Simon Kunz. The series’ score is composed by Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe and features vocals by Lisa Gerrard. Mercer Street Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the score this coming Tuesday. The Bible will air every Sunday night on the History Channel starting today.

vikingsAlso premiering tonight is the historical drama Vikings created by by Michael Hirst (Elizabeth) and starring Gabriel Byrne, George Blagde, Travis Fimmel, Jessalyn Gilsig, Gustaf Skarsgard, Clive Standen and Katheryn Winnick. The show’s score is composed by Trevor Morris (Immortals) who has previously scored the creator’s The Tudors and is also composing the music for The Borgias by the same production company. red-widowThe third new show to premiere tonight is the ABC drama Red Widow created by Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight series, Dexter) and starring Radha Mitchell, Sterling Beaumon, Clifton Collins Jr., Luke Goss, Suleka Mathew, Erin Moriarty, Jaime Ray Newman, Jakob Salvati, Lee Tergesen, Wil Traval, Rade Serbedzija and Goran Visnjic.
