cultPremiering on Tuesday, February 19 is the new CW drama Cult created by Rockne S. O’Bannon (Farscape, V) and starring Matt Davis, Jessica Lucas, Alona Tal and Robert Knepper. The series follows a journalist blogger and a production assistant, who investigate a series of mysterious disappearances that are linked to a popular television series. O’Bannon is executive producing the show with Josh Schwartz (The O.C.), Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl) and Len Goldstein (Hart of Dixie). The drama’s original score is composed by Tim Jones who has previously scored the Schwartz-produced show Chuck, as well as the second season of Human Target. zero-hourA show that premiered this past Thursday is the drama Zero Hour created by Paul Scheuring (Prison Break) and starring Anthony Edwards as a former editor of a skeptics magazine who becomes involved in one the most compelling conspiracies in human history when his wife is kidnapped. Michael Nyqvist, Jacinda Barrett, Addison Timlin, Carmen Ejogo and Scott Michael Foster are co-starring. Trevor Rabin (Remember the Titans, Armageddon) and Paul Linford are composing the score for the series, which is being recorded weekly with an orchestra. Zero Hour will air Thursday nights on ABC. wendell-vinnieAnother show that premiered this week is the comedy Wendell & Vinnie created by Jay Kogen (Frasier) and executive produced by Aaron Kaplan (Terra Nova). The show stars Jerry Trainor as a lovable, goofball uncle who becomes the guardian to his buttoned-up 12-year-old nephew, played by Buddy Handleson. Nicole Sullivan and Haley Strode are co-starring. The composer of the series is David Lawrence whose best known previous credits include the features American Pie 1 & 2, Van Wilder and the TV shows Jericho and last year’s Common Law.
