Soundtrack for Starz’s ‘Boss’ Announced

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Starz original series Boss. The album features selection’s from the show’s score composed by Brian Reitzell (Friday Night Lights, Beginners) who also serves as the music supervisor. Also included are tracks by Robert Plant & The King of Joy, Wilco and Mark Hollis. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 18, 2012 and physically on January 29, 2013. Boss stars Kelsey Grammer as the Mayor of Chicago who is diagnosed with a degenerative mental condition that only he and his doctor know about. Kathleen Robinson, Martin Donovan, Jeff Hephner, Connie Nielsen and Hannah Ware are co-starring.     Great show, it’s a shame that it was canceled. About the music, I actually remember very well the use of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata at the end of the first season.
