Claude Foisy is currently scoring the new CW drama Beauty and the Beast. The composer has started working on the series with last week’s episode Proceed with Caution and will be writing the score for the rest of the first season. Mark Isham has scored the pilot episode, which premiered two weeks ago. The show stars Kristin Kreuk as a homicide detective who witnessed the murder of her mother at the hands of two gunmen when she was a teenager and is about to uncover the mystery of the “beast” that saved her ten years later. Jay Ryan, Austin Basis, Max Brown, Nina Lisandrello and Brian White are also starring. The CBS Television Studios production is executive produced by the drama’s creators Sherri Cooper (Brothers and Sisters) & Jennifer Levin (Without A Trace), as well as Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders (Smallville), Gary Fleder (Kiss the Girls, Runaway Jury), Bill Haber (Rizzoli & Isles), Paul J. Witt & Tony Thomas (A Better Life), Ron Koslow (Moonlight), Frank Siracusa (The Yard) and John Weber (The Borgias). Foisy’s previous credits include the hit thriller White Noise, the last three films in the Wrong Turn series, as well as the TV shows First Wave and The 4400. Beauty and the Beast currently airs every Thursday night on the CW. The network has just announced the order of three additional scripts in addition to the initial 13 episodes.
