Academy Award-winning writer Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park, Downton Abbey) has penned the screenplay based on William Shakespeare’s play and is also producing the Amber Entertainment production with Ileen Maisel (Ripley’s Game) and Lawrence Elman. David Tattersall (Star Wars: Episode II & III, The Green Mile) is the film’s cinematographer and Peter Honess (L.A. Confidential and the James Horner-scored Troy) is editing the picture. Oscar-winning costume designer Milena Canonero (The Shining) serves as co-producer. Romeo and Juliet is currently in post-production and a release in 2013 is expected.

  1. Matt C. says:

Very excited for this one! I only hope that Horner doesn’t reuse any of his beloved themes. I love his style and orchestrations, but it’s always a little discouraging to hear the “Four Feathers”, “Braveheart”, “Titanic” and “Glory” themes regurgitated in his new film scores. I hope this is a certifiably fresh effort and is a big hit!

  2. Henry Kissinger says:

Can’t wait to hear this one, CD is due to be released soon!
