  1. Justin Boggan says:

I went and saw a movie for the first time in years, and the trailer for this film was before it. GODAWFUL. HORRIBLE. I wanted to wretch. I litterally came close to saying out, “Awful”.

This is humor? This is entertainment?

Christophe Beck left BTVS, wanting to do movies, and half them have been drivel, some of really low degrees, and now he’s miracuously scoring TV again with three pilots. One untitled one for Mandy Moore. Is he hard up for cash? Are the more choice assignments now coming his way?

I’ve read a good number of interviews from other composers from decades passed who had as much fame and assignments as Beck, but they turned down films they thought they were garbage, and managed to still make a living.

    • John Steele says:

Justin, if you haven’t seen the film, then how can you really comment on the quality of it?

I was at an advanced screening of Pitch Perfect last night, and I absolutely loved it. It was the absolute perfect blend of humor, drama, and music. As the coordinator and head music arranger for my own college a cappella group, I want to give the producers props for doing their homework and getting the correct details about competitive a cappella music, as well as finding well-known arrangers to do the music for the movie.

If you enjoyed Glee, sang in your youth, or just like music in general, I absolutely would recommend that you go see this movie once it hits theaters!!

    • Sani says:

Pretty awesome stuff. Sorry Justin I do not get you . Can You sing. ? Do you know music at all.? This is a flick for those who either have talent in music and were students , or can appreciate talent and were students. This is so much student life at the best even though mine was twenty five years ago., but this brought back memories of an awesosme time. Aca wonderful .

    • Kamara says:

And you a stupid person for wasting your time for a movie you supposedly hate? How does that make since?

  2. Erin Whatever says:

So Justin you haven’t even seen the movie, just the clip? Than how can you say its awful? I’ve seen a good amount of movies when seeing the trailor thought that they would be good but turned out to be horrible.

I actually got to see this movie before it came out in a private showing and I thought it was hilarious, cute and entertaining. The cast was perfect, I dont know who could have done it any better. I couldn’t stop laughing!

So please if you haven’t even seen the movie yet, how can you say that it’s awful. Save your rude, inaccurate comments to yourself and untill you actually see the movie.

  3. Dennis Sambolin says:

I agree with all the past comments. Justin, you can’t comment on something unless you’ve seen it. I also saw an advanced screening about a month ago and I thought it was FANTASTIC! I did a cappella in college, in an all guys group like the Treblemakers and it was a great representation of that whole universe. I loved every minute of it, comedic, melodic and humorous. Definitely gonna go watch it again!

  4. April Wilker says:

Justin: You don’t have any place to comment if you haven’t even watched the movie. I went and saw it last night and I loved loved loved it! I have never done any type of singing groups, but love movies with song/dance involved. It was fun and I’m anxious to hear the soundtrack. The movie leaves me wanting to hear more music put out by Anna and Skylar…what fantasic voices!

  5. Katrina says:

I saw this film at an advance screening, and I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but I think this is one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a very long time. It also has some great music, and the director/screenwriter had a great idea using a capella in the film because that’s becoming a big thing now a days.

  6. Tor says:

Haven’t seen the film, but, as far as comedies on Beck’s resume, you’re really gonna tell me that this looks worse than, say, “Just Married” or “Due Date”? Talk about stinko!

  7. kirk says:

what is the name of the song that the white cop and janet are singing in the car?..and who sings it?..thank

  8. Katie says:

Honestly I just got back from seeing this movie about 5 minutes ago and got online to download all of the songs.
The music was great, the cast was PERFECT and I loved this movie so much!!
The trailer has not done this movie justice. its so positively pitch perfect. If you haunt seen it then I highly recommend it. I couldn’t stop laughing, this movie was the perfect amount of motivation, inspiration and funniness. -Kate

  9. Josh says:

As is the theme from everyone who’s seen the movie, it was surprisingly HILARIOUS! I think the only truly disappointing point to the whole deal is that a good number of the songs are not available on the album, most specifically Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow singing Titanium, my absolute favorite song in the movie. But as for the movie it was a brilliant production, and I, too, strongly urge anyone who is skeptical to actually do their homework and watch the full movie instead of jumping to conclusions before commenting.

  10. Sue says:

OH Wow, I just watched the movie and I thought it was PRETTY entertaining. I had been wanting to watch this for a long time ever since i saw the trailer and thank goodness I watched it. It had moments of hiilarious moments and i thank fat amy for that lol. And wow, I thought songs in the movie were not as good as I expected but the Final SONG just BLEW ME. I LOVED IT. If you are into GLEE this is a good choice to watch
