Entertainment One Music will be releasing a soundtrack album for the AMC hit series Hell on Wheels. The album features the show’s main theme composed by Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel) who has recently received his first Emmy nomination for his work on the show, as well as selections from the series’ score from the first season composed by Kevin Kiner (CSI: Miami, Star Wars: The Clone Wars).  The soundtrack will be released on August 7, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips from all 34 tracks on the release. Hell on Wheels created by Joe and Tony Gayton (Faster) is set in 1865 and centers on a former Confederate soldier, who is determined to exact revenge on the Union soldiers who murdered his wife. The series stars Anson Mount, Common, Dominique McElligott, Colm Meaney, Tom Noonan, Ben Esler, Phil Burke and Eddie Spears. The show’s first season is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD and the second season is set to premiere on August 12, 2012 on AMC. For updates, visit the official show website.
